The following is a listing for a cad drafting job as an Checker/Drafter.

Job Description

Review engineering assembly and detail drawings in compliance with ANSI/​ASME Y14.​5, Geometric Dimensions and tolerances, ASME Y14-100, ASME Y14.​24, ASME Y14.​35 and ASME Y14.​34 engineering drawing practices and JPR8500 engineering drawing system manual.​  Also responsible for:

        Examining engineering drawings for completeness, clarity and fit, including tolerance build up and dimensional accuracy.​

     Reviewing drawing format standards, economy of fabrication, assembly and installation.​

     Performing related duties as required.​

Basic Qualifications

·          Minimum of 2years college

·          Able to retrieve 3D modeling of mechanical parts and assemblies using POR/​E CAD software

·          Perform model checks using PRO/​E

·          Knowledge and skills in drafting methods, procedures and techniques

·          Excellent communication skills and team-oriented approach

Highly Desired Qualifications

•       Associates Degree in Drafting Technology

•       NASA and/​or Aerospace experience
